Our school zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

2026 Foundation (Prep) enrolments

The Department of Education (DE) has released a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Debney Meadows Primary School.

What you need to do:

1. Contact our school office to book a school tour or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process
2. Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available now)
3. Take part in the First Steps - Pre Prep Program from Term 2 2025. (FREE school readiness program for all enrolled students) and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025
4. Your child will start Foundation (Prep) from 29th January 2026.

Enrolments submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Once verified please visit the Debney Meadows Primary School office and provide the following original documentation listed below in order to be given an enrolment form.

• Proof of Birth: Birth Certificate or Passport and proof of guardianship
• Proof of Residency: utility account (Gas or Electricity) or Lease Agreement
• School Entry Immunisation History Statement from the (AIR) Australian Immunisation Register with the updated immunisations received. This can be obtained by using your Medicare online account through myGOV or Express Plus Medicare mobile app or your local Medicare or by calling the AIR enquiries on 1800 653 809
• Visa Documentation

Enrolment ALL other year levels:

To enrol your child at Debney Meadows Primary School, you need to fill out an enrolment form, these can also be collected from the front office.

School Tours:

Please contact the school office to book in a School Tour. We offer school tours on Tuesday monrings at 9.30am.

Prep 2026: 

Debney Meadows Primary School is currently taking Prep enrolments for 2026. Your child will need to turn five by the 30th of April of the year they start school to be eligible to enrol. Please contact the office on 9376 1570 to verify that you are residing within the Debney Meadows Primary School Zone, alternatively, you can email the school debney.meadows.ps@education.vic.gov.au

First Steps – Pre Prep Program:

We are excited to announce the dates of our First Steps – Pre Prep Program for 2025. The program will run every Tuesday morning from Week 5 of Term 2.
