The SWPBS framework is about:
Key attributes of SWPBS include:
Below is our school-wide Matrix of Expected Behaviour. This matrix clearly defines our expected behaviours which are explicitly taught, modelled and reinforced in every classroom and throughout the school.
In every classroom students have a clearly articulated set of expectations and the Learning Ladder is the visual tool used to identify positive behaviours and assist students understand choices that impact negatively on their learning. We have connected our Learning Ladder with our Acknowledgement system and all students work to achieve at least one Excellence a Day.
Students receive an Excellence Card once the reach the top of the Learning Ladder.
These Excellences are tallied and form part of our DMPS Badge System that are awarded at our fortnightly Student Showcase Assembly.
5 Excellence = Green Badge
50 Excellence = Bronze Badge
100 Excellence = Silver Badge
150 Excellence = Gold Badge
Below is our Behaviour Management Procedure which all staff use when addressing minor and major behaviours.
